Jessica Johnson

 

Jessica trained in opera and music theatre at Leeds College of Music, from where she graduated with a double First for vocal performance in 2004.

 

She is now based in Shropshire.  As well as winning a scholarship whilst at college, she also won  several prizes and awards for her singing.  Jessica also plays the flute and piano, although singing has always been her first study.

 

When she was 12 Jessica won a place in the National Youth Training Choir of Great Britain, leaving there at 15 to pursue a solo singing career.  Since then she has won leading roles in The Magic Flute by Mozart, Dido & Aeneas by Purcell and Otto’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.  She has recently completed a UK tour with the show Night of Musicals.

 

Jessica also sings as a soloist for oratorio works weddings and corporate functions.
